Bowline on the Bight
The bowline on the bight is used when you need an emergency two-legged harness or "chair" (the knot is commonly referred to as a chair knot) OR when a non-slip loop is required in the middle of the rope and neither end of the rope is available.
The Bowline on the Bight is different from a conventional bowline as the loop available after coming up through the rabbit hole is passed over the hanging double loop.
