Bivouac

Bivouac is the name given to a night spent in the open (typically on a mountain) with no established camp. The true bivouac experience means that the climber is without tent or any other shelter and generally no sleeping bag either.

The bivouac at high altitudes can often lead to extreme hypothermia.
